Perhaps your time would be better spent unearthing the problems (scams) in the food production chain, instead of slamming a part of it that is actually scientifically-proven to be helping people. Perhaps it would be more productive if you stuck with accountig and leave the nutrition to the people that actually are Phd’d and published in that field.
Sorry, kitchen’s closed! At least for 12 hours since you last ate. Nighttime fasting—or reducing your “eating window”—may help to reset your metabolism and burn the extra glucose in your system after a period of overindulgence, according to a study in the journal Cell Metabolism. Researchers put groups of mice on a high-fat, high-calorie diet for 100 days (and you thought the 12 days of Christmas were bad!). Half the mice were allowed to nibble throughout the night and day on a healthy, controlled diet, while the others only had access to food for eight hours, but could eat whatever they wanted. The result of the 16-hour food ban? The fasting mice stayed lean, while the mice who noshed ‘round the clock became obese—even though both groups consumed the same amount of calories! There are more aggressive fasting protocols, but 12 hours without food is enough for most people to enter into a fasted state, according to some experts.
Isagenix uses many organic ingredients, however finished products can not be certified organic as some ingredients are sourced from parts of the world where organic certification doesn’t exist. However the whey protein in the shakes is from milk from pasture fed cows without any antibiotics / growth hormones and only milked according to season. This protein is processed at low temperatures to ensure the immune boosting immunoglobulins are kept intact along with active peptides and digestive enzymes like lactase found naturally in milk (but destroyed from typical pasteurised milk you get from the shops) The cows are raised on NZ farms and exceeds USDA organic standards. Many thanks for this article. So many people seem to be drinking shakes or eating a bar instead of grabbing a milk and eating an apple. We all want the quick fix solution to health, energy and weight loss. I’m 50, and have tried the lot! Why is it we can’t go back to the basics of food and why is it that we spend so much money on these wonderful solutions? We all know that weight loss products is a great money spinner for all business people. All I want is someone to tell me the best things to eat each meal, each week, for free. We need to start educating Australians on how easy it is to make a quick meal, that is healthy and help us lose weight. I struggle each day with this and don’t think buying an expensive packet of powder and putting it in a super blender to provide me with a healthy, weight loss, energy ‘meal’. I know Isagenix users/sellers are on the wagon about what a wonderful product this is – but I have been on the Amway wagon before as well, and it almost becomes like a product religion. I don’t want to bring doubt on your chosen lifestyles, but I promise, one day soon you will look back on this product and think to yourselves ‘Why?’. Enjoy it whilst it is your religion and belief, but I hope all of these manufactured products don’t cause higher numbers of cancer and heart disease to you, and other Australians. Our numbers of chronic disease are extremely high as it is, so what is it going to be like when our age groups of product meals/bars reach 50+ years of age. Is it going to cause a higher strain on our health system because of these decisions we made eating chemically manufactured products, not only Isagenix?

The woman who does our billing at the office I work at is all about isagenix. She totally knows "the millionaires" and could get there if she put any more effort into her sales....sure. Why not. I like her so I usually just let her tell me about it and try to change the subject back to ways I'm trying to be healthy myself. When she tells me her black as the night "cleanse" drink gets rid of all the toxins in her body "from like the air and world and stuff" I nod along. "Plus it's only about 3 dollars per meal!". Great lady.
Either you are getting bad advice from your coach or you are not doing the program correctly, my wife and I have been on Isagenix for over 2 years have lost weight and have never been healthier, there is no reason why you should be hungry you can do your shakes plus your meals make sure taking in enough calories, if your not happy you send your products back and you will get your money back they offer a great money back guarantee. Most that fail on this program either have bad coaching or are not being honest with themselfs and are not doing the program correctly

It was as if no one had actually read what I wrote. No one bothered to address any of my specific criticisms. No one even tried to defend Isagenix’s false claims that toxicity accounts for most disease, that the body protects itself from toxins by coating them with fat, and that internal organs become clogged and deteriorate if you don’t “cleanse.” No one offered any evidence that “detoxification” improves human health. No one tried to identify any of the alleged toxins or show that they are actually removed. No one tried to provide any rationale for the particular combination of ingredients in Isagenix products (242 of them!). No one questioned my assertion that “no caffeine added” was inaccurate because green tea was added and it contains caffeine. No one commented on my observation that the amount of vitamin A in the products was dangerous and went against the recommendations of The Medical Letter. No one offered any evidence that more weight was lost by adding Isagenix to a low calorie diet and exercise. I offered some alternative explanations that might account for people believing it was effective when it wasn’t; no one commented on that. The medical advisor on the Isagenix website argued that at $5 a day Isagenix is less expensive than open heart surgery. I pointed out that that was a laughable false dichotomy: it’s not a matter of choosing between open heart surgery and diet supplements. No one commented on that. Instead of rational responses, we got …
