I am a hypnotherapist, and my business mentor (whom I admire) was the one selling this product, so that is how I got involved. I told him about all of the adverse effects I was having in a long email, which he forwarded to Dr. Williams, the head nutritionist at Isagenix. In my email I was questioning some of the specific ingredients, such as the maltodextrim and the calcium caseinate. To make a long story short, Dr. Williams wrote a long email back, defending the products, and not showing any concern at all that I had these reactions. This would have been an opportunity for him to take the high road. I wish I could find that email, but it would take some time because I have to go back into the history. What this clearly tells me is that the powers that be do not care about people, they only care about the money. Dr. Williams is very high up in their MLM organization, and he has to support the products no matter what. It is all about the money, and there is A LOT of money at stake. (This is no different than the presidential press secretary having to support and rationalize every mistake the president makes) I don’t know how these head people at Isagenix sleep at night. I know I am not the only one who was harmed by this experience, and as I said, I was in perfect health before. I have owned gym memberships all of my adult life, so I exercise regularly and now only eat CLEAN organic food.
The undenatured Reserveage whey protein Dani shows in the video is a poorer copy of ingredients as used in Isagenix Whey Protein and is more expensive. Isagenix use undenatured Whey and has lactase added for digestion. Reserveage has only started in 2008 using same natural supplements as what Isagenix have been producing. How is it ethical to knock the original and promote the newcomer?
Ok…I just want to say that HUMANS ARE NOT MADE TO EAT THAT STUFF AND LIVE I DONT CARE HOW “HEALTHY” OR “ORGANIC” IT IS! Yep I would agree that our soils and plants do not produce like they used to because of our overuse of pesticides and other crazy things to produce more food for a growing population. I guess we are closer to Soilent Green than we thought.
The second link you provide by David Despain is the science and communications spokesperson for Isagenix, what irony. Now he would be a good person to contact to raise your concerns:): This link doesn’t support your argument at all. quoting the first paragraph “It was the most recent of several review papers to conclude that fructose is probably not inherently fattening in humans, but that it can be fattening if it’s consumed to excess, due to the added calories”
If you want to lose weight, eat less than you burn, full stop. Learn to cook and eat stuff you make yourself. Don’t waste your money on organic either, as if anything the anti-GMO movement is even scammier than Isagenix. Teach yourself enough biology and chemistry to understand why these are scams. And most of all, accept that successful weight loss takes time. It’s a long-term project; don’t rush it, or buy into shortcuts.
I have to say that I’m pretty amazed that people are still falling for the ‘cleanse’ thing. Maybe it’s just me, but haven’t we learned by now that cleanses are useless? What is the point of doing this 30 day diet/cleanse, anyhow? Losing weight that’s mostly water and will come right back when you start eating normally? ‘Resetting your metabolism’, which really doesn’t work that way and in fact, may reset the wrong way, slowing down from lack of nourishment? Is it the handfuls of supplements that you couldn’t possibly take – or afford, for that matter – for the rest of your life, but are also unproven and likely do nothing? Or, the replacement of meals with a shake – reminiscent of Slim Fast, and we all know how that works – but not learning how to really prepare, savor, portion, and enjoy food? I know that you know all of what I’m saying here, so please don’t let emotion overtake intellect when you’re considering Isagenix or any other diet program.
It’s interesting that all the weight loss magic pills and shakes all make the same claims. The latest is Thrive Le-vel. To listen to all the claims, it sounds like they’ve got the perfect pill to make you look and feel the best you ever have. These companies are all the same….they shut down one, only to slap on a new label and sell it again. Wish they would regulate supplements and what exactly is in them. Our dog and cat food is regulated better than our supplements.
Part of why many of us choose to involve ourselves with Isagenix is because of who we were. I don’t think schools should have vending machines. I don’t think companies such as McDonalds and Coca-Cola should be allowed to sponsor sporting events. I admire companies that don’t cut corners in the name of bottom line profits but most of all, I think people deserve to have facts when making decisions…especially regarding their health.
This has been a very interesting read – the article and the comments. I know that anyone who is an affiliate of Isagenix will defend the product because, well, their livelihood and reputation are on the line. Also they believe it is beneficial and wholesome, which is how they can sell it (I know some people are OK lying in order to get a sale, but I think deep down most people want to sell things that they truly think hold value).

"The term 'detox' has become a buzzword that is often misused by the media and consumers," says Jackie Armstrong, MPH, RDN, EP-C. Jackie is a Performance & Wellness Nutritionist at Stanford University and the founder of Well-Fueled.com. She says that detox diets are often misunderstood. "Our organs and tissues are constantly in a state of detoxification — getting rid of unwanted substances produced by the body or from our environment." She goes on to explain that research is lacking to support the effectiveness of most detox diets.
Anyway I finally tried isAgenix. Wow. In 30 days I did lose the belly I had been trying to lose for years. I also met other isAgenix users. I met one fellow who lost over 100 lbs.! In my humble opinion isAgenix is an excellent product line. I also do a bit of kinesiology and all the isAgenix products appear to be of excellent quality and are very healthy. (for me anyway)

Now am I necessarily recommending it, no. As I do believe it to be not a once size fits all type of solution to the obesity epidemic. But for one who understands their underlying weigh loss issues and is under the care of a physician, this program may help jump start your weigh loss journey. The program does however require will power, it won’t be easy. I did however find it comforting that program was only 9 days.
People who are involved in the nutrition field are far more knowledgeable, they have vast amounts of education on this subject, and a huge advantage over let’s say a car mechanic when it comes to figuring out the good from the bad at the local grocery store (which is where the majority of Americans shop for their food) Label reading is extremely hard, especially if you do not know all the bad things to look for as a trained professional would know like the back of their hand, such as yourself. A great portion of Americans know the simple pit falls in eating, like, do not eat at McDonalds, don’t eat donuts for breakfast lunch and dinner. I am not saying it is the total education of the individual, but nutritional education which not that many people have, is key here.
Toxic overload is an often-overlooked factor in obesity, and the right detoxification plan can provide the nutrients your body requires to help you heal and lose weight. While these strategies are a powerfully effective starting point, a chiropractor or other healthcare professional can help you design a custom-tailored detoxification plan based on your individual needs.
Although a cleanse might not have much inherent value, Schnell says, drinking juice for a few days, alternating a day of juice with a day of meals, or replacing some meals with juice to achieve weight loss isn't necessarily dangerous if you're in good health. "Most people who do not have a preexisting serious health condition, such as diabetes, colitis, or Crohn's disease, will probably be able to complete a one- to three-day juice fast without problems," Schnell says. "Potential concerns would be maintaining adequate hydration and knowing what, exactly, are the ingredients in the juices. Pure fruits and vegetables in the short run are all right for healthy people, but diabetics, for example, may have challenges identifying starches and sugars and therefore controlling their blood sugar."
If you're thinking about starting your weight loss with a juice cleanse, think again. While juicing may be the most popular way to jump-start weight loss, it's not the best way; especially when it comes to losing weight and keeping it off. What you don't know about juicing could STOP you from losing weight and may actually be harmful to your health.
Do you know how many great, healthy meals you could make for the same price people are spending on this crap? Look for products with less than 5 ingredients, all that you can pronounce…It’s not that tough. Blows my mind. Or how about this…invest in a personal trainer and get your butt off the couch? Here’s another thought, higher a nutritionist or dietitian. It’s not that hard. Eat clean, exercise to the best of your ability, and stop looking for the magic pill.
I appreciate healthy debate (pun intended). Anyway, just wanted to add my 2 cents. I started a strict Paleo diet in Jan. 2013 (90% of the time). While I found many benefits to it, I still had lots of struggles. That 10% when I wouldn’t eat paleo completely derailed me of any progress I had. It was disgustingly frustrating. Then I had bloodwork done in Nov. 2013, and my triglycerides and cholesterol were very high and my blood sugar was in the prediabetic level. I’ve been a life long athlete. I work out daily. I’ve done triathlons. I do yoga, strength, and cardio on a regular basis. I’m only 33.

Take Cleanse for Life daily as part of a balanced diet to promote better health or use it as part of a one- or two-day intermittent fasting deep cleanse for additional benefits. Cleanse for Life should be used as part of an Isagenix System for maximum results. For Daily cleansing, take 2 ounces  twice daily. Enjoy warm or cold. For a deeper, one- or two-day cleanse, take 4 ounces four times throughout the day. Follow with 8 ounces of water. Enjoy warm or cold. Cleansing is most effective with a combination of both daily and deep cleanses.

In addition to my journey, I started sharing my story with others and helping them do the same. I have now personally helped dozens of people shed 10, 20, 30, 40 and even (3 people) have shed over 70lbs! They’ve taken back control over their health and their lives. They feel good about themselves, they are happier than they have been for years and they are OPTIMISTIC about LIFE!
It’s working out great! Let me guess… you’re on that “nutrients in food have been depleted” bandwagon???? While soil is generally less rich in minerals than it used to be, it is not a problem for us when consuming fruits and vegetables. They still have lots of vitamins in them and are very good for us! Eat good food, take a simple multi-vitamin, and you will get all the nutrients you need. Still no crappy shakes necessary!
The cleansers in my Isagenix Facebook group said it would be easier after day five, and they were right. I got used to drinking a shake for breakfast and a shake for dinner, and looked forward to my low-glycemic lunches like it was Christmas morning. (I was salivating as I put pieces of lettuce into a container at the salad bar.) Though I didn’t lose any more pounds than the previous weigh-in, this didn’t deter my motivation. For the first time in a long time, I’m feeling good—digesting food nicely (in the past, I’d have a bit of a rumble here and there), and oddly, I have more energy than ever before.

I am reading all these comments about Isagenix and iv been with the company for 6 months and still have not made any money.Listening to all the testimonies about people making so much amount of money in 2 weeks and I am still struggling on getting a team member to sign up because those i talked too don’t believe in it, and think its a scam. LOL. So I’m getting kind of skeptical now.
What is a Cellular Detox? Cellular Detoxes and cellular cleanses are extremely popular today and there are many options to choose from. While many people may be unsure which detox diet, cleanse or product is best for them, it’s important to understand how they work, and that a cellular detox and cellular cleanse is much more than just changing the diet, or doing a 10-day herbal cleanse or juice fast.

If you do Zumba or CrossFit or power yoga or are in the midst of training for a marathon or the Miss Olympia contest, by all means continue. But whether you’re a couch surfer or an actual surfer, you’ll jump-start your weight loss if you add in a 10- minute walk outdoors. This easy a.m. ritual works on two levels. First, a recent study found that exposure to UV rays, even on a cloudy day, between the hours of 8 am and noon reduces your risk of weight gain. Researchers speculate that the morning light synchronizes your metabolism and undercuts your fat genes. And burning calories before you eat means you’re exercising in a fasted state. According to some studies, exercising in a fasted state can burn almost 20 percent more fat compared to exercising with fuel in the tank.

I found myself about 25 days ago, being faced with the choice of trying Isagenix. I looked into it. I did some research. I was discerning. And given that those who introduced me to it were close family and I had been watching their results closely and was actually impressed, I decided to give it a go. But lets be clear about something: I owned that decision completely. It was not sold, because I will not be sold to. Now, 20 days in, so many of my hopes and dreams are back in gear and the adventures I’ve been hoping and praying to be part of are within my conscious control. Isagenix didn’t do that. I did. I saw Isagenix as a tool and I realised that my application of that tool would be paramount to the success or failure of the venture. Sure, I understand and appreciate that some of the ingredients are suspect. But so is the fluoride added to water supplies that is still mandatory in most provinces and states of New Zealand and Australia where I’ve spent the majority of my 39 years. And we know what that stuff does to our pineal gland… right? And what the pineal gland does for us and how important latest neurological studies are suggesting it is to our overall experience as “living systems?” I really hope thats a bandwagon those of you with “credentials” are on. I don’t mean that disrespectfully, I sincerely mean that.

But, I am sure we will have to agree to disagree. 🙂 So happy that you are doing great things for your body by being super picky about what you put into it and doing a lot of research. I am sure you do WONDERS for your clients. Isagenix does wonders for it’s clients too. Consider how unhealthy our culture is and how even small improvements in the diet can assist in improving our health. Sometimes it is baby steps and being too picky can make people steer clear of healthy eating all together because it seems sooooo overwhelming!
In the Journal of the American Medical Association — suggesting that all the extra folic acid might increase your odds of developing cancer. “The more we learn about folic acid, the more it’s clear that giving it to everyone has very real risks,” says folic acid researcher David Smith, Ph.D., a professor of pharmacology at the University of Oxford in England.
Anyway…I was kinda excited to do it, but once I started I HATED every single day of it, especially the cleanse days. The “wafers” or whatever they called them, which was the only solid thing ingested on those days were absolutely HORRIBLE. I gagged just thinking that I had to eat them. The shakes were OK, but I had had better. I didn’t order anything extra, like soups or bars…just what came with the initial order. GROSS…everything else was so gross. I couldn’t eat the bars, the stuff they gave you to put in water was just awful.
I’m so pleased with the results of doing the 9 Day Cleanse. I LOST 15 lbs!!!!! I noticed a difference in how my clothes fit and especially when I put on my winter coat. It used to be tight on me and now it’s noticeably more loose.  Plus I lost 29 inches! The most inches lost was in my waist (5 inches), abdomen (3.5 inches) and upper thighs (3.5 inches). I lost 1.5 inches in my butt so still a ways to go there.
I have read all of the essays put out by Isagenix because someone close to me is involved with the company. I have written to its higher-level employees with questions and received replies. I have watched their videos, listened to their podcasts. My conclusion is that the folks who control this company are dishonest and so are their stated scientists. I do not believe that their products, if consumed on a short-term basis for the purpose of either losing weight or kick-starting one’s diet to a more disciplined daily regimen, place the consumer at any real risk. And I’m not sure if the Isagenix products place anyone at risk who eats a meal per day of real (actual) food. What is pathetic and sad about this company is the the untested claims it makes to sell its product. When I say “untested,” I mean not tested by an independent third party. Isagenix, and only Isagenix, says it tests its products (“really we do, I swear,” to quote a recent podcast narrated by an Isagenix “pro”). The company operates within the law — just.

I am not evolved. You are not evolved. “WE” are not evolved. “WE” are nobody. I am nobody. And who I am is not important to YOUR experience. If you are curious about who I am, then its only a matter of interest isn’t it? Like if you are hungry and you go to a restaurant, standing at the window and watching me eat won’t ease your hunger. Will it? You must go “within” and partake.
The 3-Day Detox Diet. Don't have 2-weeks for a full detox? This 3-day detox is my own plan. It's easy, it's simple and there are no fancy foods required. In fact, it follows guidelines developed by the USDA's MyPlate nutritional program. This is the plan that I use when I need to reset my taste buds after a busy party season or a vacation full of indulgent foods.
