If you don’t feel ready to try a full day at first, there’s nothing wrong with gradually easing into Cleanse Days. For example, you might prefer to start out with a 12- or 16-hour “mini cleanse” as a way to experiment with Cleanse Days and see what works best for you. In this approach, you begin your day by following a typical Cleanse Day schedule, and then break your Cleanse Day in the late afternoon or evening with an IsaLean® Shake.

Let’s start off by clarifying that in general, multilevel marketing companies are legal scams in the United States. The government allows them to exist and multiply. They offer products which are little more than a “front” for the schemes, since without a legitimate looking product or service, the companies would be at risk of appearing to be illegal pyramid schemes.

I don’t even know why I’m responding to this as opposed to trashing this comment. It’s evident that you know nothing about nutrition – you just said soybean oil is high in omega-3s. Uh no, it’s high in omega-6 which causes inflammation and heart disease. This is literally a fact. Not to mention the fact that soy oil is extracted used hexane – a neurotoxin. I’ve provided several credible links about soy oil. Please look for them in the comments section, it’s incredibly frustrating to repeat myself almost daily to people who don’t have the slightest grasp on nutrition. And unlike you, my sources are from sources that are actually credible – i.e. PubMed.

This is an excellent and informative blog about Isagenix. I have some friends who, sadly have fallen for the “get healthy, get wealthy” brainwashing that Isagenix promotes. People are, or seem to be taught to push push push selling. If Isagenix is so interested in helping people, why not sell it to health stores, grocery stores etc? They exclusively use a pyramid sales model.
Even as registered dietitians and certified personal trainers, we love a good celebration and having fun as much as anyone, but we’re not gonna lie, we’re a bit relieved that some of the holidays and many of the social gatherings are slowing down a bit so we can all (us included!) get back on track. After all, everyone feels better after losing the extra party LBs, bloat and heaviness that most feel after too much indulgence.
When you get rid of the toxins in your body you are allowing your body to repair itself.  When you use cleanse products you purify your body of inhibitory toxins and create a perfect environment for your body to do what it does naturally. Your body fixes itself when your cellular system is working as it’s supposed to work. Want an easy cleanse solution that is healthy for you?
Now am I necessarily recommending it, no. As I do believe it to be not a once size fits all type of solution to the obesity epidemic. But for one who understands their underlying weigh loss issues and is under the care of a physician, this program may help jump start your weigh loss journey. The program does however require will power, it won’t be easy. I did however find it comforting that program was only 9 days.
3. Can the “results” be verified by clinical trials and not just anecdotal stories from enthusiastic but brainwashed distributors? Hey, I’ve been there, you get pumped up at conventions, everyone around you has a fantastic story to tell, they parade a bunch of docs or scientists up on stage and well… it goes on and on. I have nothing against the MLM industry per se. What concerns me and always has is that suddenly Mary Jones, a real estate agent or secretary goes to a few meetings, maybe a convention and suddenly is an ”expert” in nutrition, weight loss or whatever. I have been studying and practicing clinical nutrition for over 30 years. The one thing I know for certain is that the more I know and learn the more I know there is more to learn.

If a cross-fitter needs meal advice based on his/her specific needs, then that cross-fitter has some responsibility to bear as well. Isagenix has never claimed to offer personalized meal planning though some associates are fully qualified to do so. Would it be fair for me to expect my personal trainer to live with me to ensure that my very specific issues are being addressed while on my own as well… no, at some point, I have to take what I learn from him/her police myself. Isagenix is excellent at providing advice on healthy meal choices.
That promise led me to this article. Thank you Dani for doing so much of the “leg work” for me, although I still have to follow-up on a few other issues, it is what it is . . . fad, highly processed (over processed), artificial, lab-generated, synthetic “food like” substance. All neatly packaged with an incredible marketing/spin department to make it all shiny!
I met a usually fit bubbly friend from the gym today for a green tea (it’s my fast day so coffee tomorrow) and she is really un well after 6 weeks on Isagenix. She has stopped taking it for a few days and is slowly starting to feel better. Hence why I decided to do some research on this poison. This is not natural it’s in a jar for Christ sake, if you want natural buy whole fruits, vegetables and fresh fish and meats. Take an hour out of your day and prepare and cook beautiful food, sit down with your family and enjoy healthy good food and they weight will drop and you will feel great in no time…and guess what along with the bargain you save money as you aren’t lining other peoples pockets in a pyramid scheme. Wake up!
I suffered from severe Gluten and Irritable Bowel disease for years, over 5 in fact. And although i was being seen by my family doctor, nutritionists, and had completed all sorts of tests for Intestinal diseases no one was ever to fix me. I couldn’t leave the house without plotting out my route of every bathroom from point A to B, carried around plastic bags in case I needed to go and there was no bathroom around to make a stop at; I was also exhausted all the time, never had any energy. I lived a miserable life.
To further clarify… it is my understanding (and I may be wrong) that cows only produce milk after giving birth (similar to humans). To have a cow produce milk “every friggin day of the week, 52 weeks a year”, you would need to inject the cow with hormones to induce milk production. Those hormones are passed down through the chain to the end user… the calf or you.
I was overwhelmed a bit at first, but quickly figured out how it all worked. They include lots of literature in the kit so I was able to read more about the products and how they work and when I needed to take them. I was ready to begin! I started on a Thursday and I got up that day and weighed and measured myself (ugh!). The kit provides an area for you to record both your starting weight and measurements and even included a tape measure. I knew this weight had to go and I was excited to finally have some direction!

The cleansers in my Isagenix Facebook group said it would be easier after day five, and they were right. I got used to drinking a shake for breakfast and a shake for dinner, and looked forward to my low-glycemic lunches like it was Christmas morning. (I was salivating as I put pieces of lettuce into a container at the salad bar.) Though I didn’t lose any more pounds than the previous weigh-in, this didn’t deter my motivation. For the first time in a long time, I’m feeling good—digesting food nicely (in the past, I’d have a bit of a rumble here and there), and oddly, I have more energy than ever before.

I have to say that I’m pretty amazed that people are still falling for the ‘cleanse’ thing. Maybe it’s just me, but haven’t we learned by now that cleanses are useless? What is the point of doing this 30 day diet/cleanse, anyhow? Losing weight that’s mostly water and will come right back when you start eating normally? ‘Resetting your metabolism’, which really doesn’t work that way and in fact, may reset the wrong way, slowing down from lack of nourishment? Is it the handfuls of supplements that you couldn’t possibly take – or afford, for that matter – for the rest of your life, but are also unproven and likely do nothing? Or, the replacement of meals with a shake – reminiscent of Slim Fast, and we all know how that works – but not learning how to really prepare, savor, portion, and enjoy food? I know that you know all of what I’m saying here, so please don’t let emotion overtake intellect when you’re considering Isagenix or any other diet program.

It teaches them to be dependent upon their products so they have repeat business every month. That’s what an MLM does. If these were miracle products whose ingredients could be proven healthy, Isagenix would make a hell of a lot more money selling in mainstream. If so great why aren’t they endorsed by the cancer society for patients needing a healthy diet through chemo… or as an alternative to life altering lap band or gastric bypass surgery? It is very unhealthy to drink 2 meals a day… our bodies were designed to chew and digest… and if you are going to drink meals for convenience a Nutri Bullet and fresh fruits and veggies will do the trick with more nutrition. Sorry – I’m a health coach too… food will always prevail with me as well.
I too am a health coach and would NEVER use my credentials to further an MLM business. People trust us and come to us when they have no other place to turn. To drain their pocketbooks and push them to a lifestyle that does not give them any recourse but to stay on an unhealthy program or risk gaining all the weight back is unethical and cruel. You are no better than Jenny Craig or Nutri System… geared toward customers for life. Call yourself what you are… an Isagenix Rep, but please don’t confuse that with a HEALTH coach.
