I’ve never done the cleanse, but was thinking about doing so after the holidays. I’m no medical expert, but I am entering into health care as a nurse in the near future and nutrition fascinates me. The hypothesis that neurological syndromes and food allergies are attributed to toxicity *has* been supported by research (see Dr. Theo Colhoun’s work). Differences have been shown between subjects who ingest foods laden with additives and pesticides in contrast with with subjects who eat whole, organic foods. The effects of taking in said toxins can range anywhere from developmentally delayed children to reproductively impaired adults. These statements have been supported by data and research.
I recently read about the various P450 enzymes and their role in detoxifying our bodies…Could pesticides and additives have an adverse effect on these enzymes? I would love to see the research, but my instincts after reading more into the subject say perhaps. The question pertaining to this post concerning Isagenix supporting proper detoxification or not isn’t my point. My point is that the “old school” thinking of nutrition in the light of “every calorie is the same” needs to be thrown out. Isagenix at least supports people in making healthier choices…Kale instead of candy perhaps. You are what you eat, and heck, if Isagenix gets people to drink a nutritional shake vs eating a happy meal, I’m all for it.
2. Include water and potassium-rich foods (and drinks) that are low in sodium. This is a potent combo that restores normal fluid balance and flushes out bloat and puffiness. Why is this combo so magical? Fluids help to flush out your system while potassium helps to counterbalance sodium. (Go for vegetables [all of them, especially green leafy veggies] and fruits).
Take Cleanse for Life daily as part of a balanced diet to promote better health or use it as part of a one- or two-day intermittent fasting deep cleanse for additional benefits. Cleanse for Life should be used as part of an Isagenix System for maximum results. For Daily cleansing, take 2 ounces twice daily. Enjoy warm or cold. For a deeper, one- or two-day cleanse, take 4 ounces four times throughout the day. Follow with 8 ounces of water. Enjoy warm or cold. Cleansing is most effective with a combination of both daily and deep cleanses.
I’ve met the most wonderful people on the planet in this company. People setting out and doing the work of creating positive change in other’s lives. If you are doing the same thing in your own work… BRAVO to you! There’s no need to try to tear someone else down or a company down when there’s clearly (over 400 people have shed over a 100lbs!) tens of thousands of people who are benefitting.
The particular products I use are all gluten free and it is keeping me healthy. I had all kinds of aches and pains before I started drinking Isagenix shakes and my cholesterol was a little high. I just went for my annual doctors visit and I have never been healthier. My blood work all came back perfect and my cholesterol is lower than its ever been, and my good cholesterol is in a great place. Again, I’m not saying you’re right or wrong or that I’m right or wrong. I just want you to not be so closed minded. There are very healthy aspect and not so healthy aspects about all plans, which is why different plans and approaches work for different people and their particular needs. I’m not bashing your way and I’m just asking you not to bash mine. Any good professional will be able to argue both sides of any story. You have to be flexible in life. That’s how you learn new things and grow.
It’s interesting that all the weight loss magic pills and shakes all make the same claims. The latest is Thrive Le-vel. To listen to all the claims, it sounds like they’ve got the perfect pill to make you look and feel the best you ever have. These companies are all the same….they shut down one, only to slap on a new label and sell it again. Wish they would regulate supplements and what exactly is in them. Our dog and cat food is regulated better than our supplements.
I bought the 30 day Presidents pack and was so excited to embark on my new journey of welllbeing, fitness and creating a new me. Not only did I stick to the programe, I also had the benefit of having had blood tests in the weeks before Isagenix (didnt show much, other than I was incredibly low in vitamin D). Out of curiosity, I had blood tests done again a few days ago.
But the products are expensive. I suspect too expensive, given that I can get protein shakes and similar “metabolism boosting” supplements at my local SuperSupplements store. My coach tells me that the difference in price is due to the “trace minerals” and the fact that the whey protein comes from fully organically raised cows in New Zealand. That sounds a bit fanciful to me, but I can’t ignore the fact that the system appears to work for me.
In addition to my journey, I started sharing my story with others and helping them do the same. I have now personally helped dozens of people shed 10, 20, 30, 40 and even (3 people) have shed over 70lbs! They’ve taken back control over their health and their lives. They feel good about themselves, they are happier than they have been for years and they are OPTIMISTIC about LIFE!
Okay, a viable third option that can beat eaten on the go and prepared in 5 minutes – eggs, a tin of smoked oysters, grass-fed beef jerky, a protein shake with grass-fed whey, kefir and spinach, homemade trail mix, smoked salmon wrapped in seaweed, THE LIST GOES ON. It ain’t hard. And the list gets longer if you take an hour or two out of your weekend to prepare some food it advance. It’s about not being lazy.
While your cells constantly detoxify, consider doing a more formal detox as a spring (or fall) full-body cleanse. These plans, which typically last two to three weeks, include all the essentials to help your liver and other organs optimally detoxify, including protein, nutrients, and a detox-minded eating plan. Our Detox System provides all the nutrient support you need to keep your natural cellular and body detoxification in peak, all in one convenient package.
Seriously don’t call people lazy. Also, I use Isagenix and do not spend $ 595 a month. I’m not quite sure where you got that. I prepare many clean meals in conjunction with enjoying Isagenix shakes. I eat clean, buy organic fruits and vegetables as well as hormone free yogurt, cottage cheese, etc. And when I’m busy (which most people are) I make a shake and go. I usually don’t respond to things like this, but you really struck a chord. You are very closed minded and wont even budge a bit, even though people have provided you with an array of information. You really need to open your mind to the idea that your way is just that, your way. It’s not necessarily right or wrong, but you can’t chastise people for having different opinions. And many different things for work different people for lots of different reasons.
Soybean oil is not the latest health food fad no. But it’s not toxic when from non GMO sources as isagenix states clearly on their website, they do not use GMO sources for any ingredients whether in US or Australia. All the australian products are made in the US by the way. Soybean oil is only dangerous when it’s hydrogenated. Soybean oil contains omega 6 fats. With omega 6 and omega 3 fats it’s the balance that’s important. This is why fish oil supplements are recommended by isagenix, and their produce an omega oil supplement.
Ditch the packaged, processed foods today (even the “healthy” versions). This will ensure you are taking out excess sodium, artificial ingredients and sugar from your diet. Also, ditch the salt shaker and instead use only herbs and spices to flavor your food. You’ll find this can help make a big difference in how you look and feel. Even after one day!
