This is great information. I started this program on Monday, unfortunately without researching it properly. Like the other advocates who responded to your blog, the person who got me going on it is very gung ho. I don’t feel any different than I did before I started, except that I’m hungry all the time. I’ve decided that I can lose weight better on my own, without all the processed stuff. Keep up the good work!

If you want to lose weight, eat less than you burn, full stop. Learn to cook and eat stuff you make yourself. Don’t waste your money on organic either, as if anything the anti-GMO movement is even scammier than Isagenix. Teach yourself enough biology and chemistry to understand why these are scams. And most of all, accept that successful weight loss takes time. It’s a long-term project; don’t rush it, or buy into shortcuts.
The ingredients in Isagenix Cleanse for Life are known to promote weight loss and to have a cleansing effect on the body. There is some question regarding the amounts of the ingredients, and even the safety of some of them to the overall health of the consumer, but as a whole, it appears as though most consumers have found Isagenix Cleanse for Life to play a positive role in their journey to their weight loss goals.
When fructose is consumed in a normal range as our hunter-gatherer ancestors did when they ate fruits and vegetables all year round – and as part of a reduced-calorie diet for building muscle and losing weight – it and its cousin sweeteners such as sucrose, glucose, honey, agave nectar, fruit juice concentrates, and sugar alcohols really aren’t so freaky after all.
Isagenix Cleanse for Life is a complete body cleanse drink that helps the body to naturally remove impurities from itself. It is a natural way to cleanse your body of toxins that you’re exposed to everyday. Instead of starving the body, like many cleanses out there, it actually feeds the body with over 27 different nutrients. Cleanse for Life contains a unique blend of ionic minerals, antioxidants, natural plants, teas, and gentle cleansing herbs that support the body’s functions and immune system. It is third party tested to make sure it has the highest quality and potency. Cleanse for life is available in both liquid and powder form for your convenience.
A Nutritional Cleanse is the perfect opportunity to allow your body to “start from scratch” while helping you gain some dietary insight into your path towards wellness. When done right, clearing out the body through a guided nutritional program can have some seriously amazing and long-lasting results on your health. So, what better way to rid any poisons or toxins from your body than to go on one of these Nutritional Cleanses? Joy Schonholz, Nutritional Cleansing Coach at Isagenix and active Isagenix product-user, tells us to think of it this way: When your engine oil becomes dirty, your car alerts you that you’re due for an oil change to rid any impurities from the oil. This guarantees that your engine will run smoothly once it “starts from scratch.” Now, think of your body as the engine and the nutritional cleanse as its oil change. Pretty beneficial to us, don’t you think?
I was surprised to find that I didn’t feel hungry on the Cleanse Days even though I wasn’t really eating any food besides the snacks. On day one, John and I went shopping and he stopped at McDonalds drive-thru and ate his Big Mac meal right in front of me!! Not very nice of him at all, but I wasn’t really tempted. I was a woman on a mission to complete the 9 days with NO CHEATING! When I did feel hungry, I went for a glass of water and an Isagenix snack. It satisfied my hunger and gave me energy.
I just think the important thing to remember when using these products/systems is understanding that you need to use them in a way that fits your lifestyle and what you want out of their use. I think the two most important aspects of getting fit and maintaining a healthy lifestyle are exercise and eating right in a consistent manner. It’s important to plan out your meals and try to get the most you can out of natural foods and probably only supplement when it is necessary. I used to supplement with a ton of other, more sketchy products than Isagenix and I most definitely feel better after the switch. But I also think it’s really important to note that if your goal is to go all natural, or as natural as possible, that most supplements are going to compromise that goal in some form or another.
It was as if no one had actually read what I wrote. No one bothered to address any of my specific criticisms. No one even tried to defend Isagenix's false claims that toxicity accounts for most disease, that the body protects itself from toxins by coating them with fat, and that internal organs become clogged and deteriorate if you don't cleanse. No one offered any evidence that “detoxification” improves human health. No one tried to identify any of the alleged toxins or show that they are actually removed. No one tried to provide any rationale for the particular combination of ingredients (all 242 of them!) in Isagenix products. No one questioned my assertion that “no caffeine added” is inaccurate labeling because green tea, which is added, contains caffeine. No one commented when I observed that the amount of vitamin A in these products is dangerous and goes against the recommendations of the Medical Letter. No one offered any evidence that more weight is lost by adding Isagenix to a low-calorie diet and exercise. I offered some alternative explanations that might account for people believing that Isagenix is effective when it isn't; no one commented on that.
